Rescue - Foster - Adopt
My wife, Teresa, and I are passionate about rescuing dogs and all companion animals. As advocates for animal welfare, we have seen a lot of the horrible conditions these beautiful creatures of God endure. We have helped rescue adult dogs and puppies from puppy mills, high kill shelters, strays & owner surrenders.
We volunteer for TRI (still do) and decided to form our non-profit, Rescue Rebels Inc, to help provide essential services for animal rescues in good standing.
Sadly, we're also aware that rescues and shelters are struggling with day to day operating expenses, so Rescue Rebels was imagined to help shoulder some of the burden. In the world of rescue, something as simple as a new Martingale collar, or a book of postage stamps, gas cards for the tireless volunteers to transport dogs and puppies to safety (HIGH DEMAND), are only a few things necessary to save one more dog!
Our slogan: "supporting rescues one paw at a time" says it all.

Facts About Animal Shelters
Every Year In The U.S. Over 6 Million Pets End Up In Shelters. There are an estimated 70 Million stray animals in America and only 6 Million end up in shelters. Because stray dogs and cats are never spayed or neutered, they have the ability to produce offspring at an exponential rate. Puppy mills make it harder for shelters to free up space due to overpopulation. source: https://www.peta.org/issues/animal-companion-issues/overpopulation/euthanasia/
4,000 No-Kill Communities Exist In The U.S. The “no-kill’ benchmark is 90%. There are still animals being euthanized in these communities due to medical issues and quality of life concerns. This benchmark is not reached every time due to the lack of resources these animal charities have. source https://www.npr.org/2014/12/31/374218425/no-kill-shelters-save-millions-of-unwanted-pets-but-not-all-of-them
In 1984, About 17 Million Shelter Pets Were Euthanized. This huge number of animals euthanized kicked off an animal activist surge for no-kill shelters in America. The "no-kill" movement was formed during this time, in response to this number, in cities like San Francisco. Animal rights groups have since formed over 14,000 no-kill animal charities. source https://bestfriends.org/about/our-story/no-kill-timeline
Combined, America Has About 14,000 Animal Rescue Organizations. The 14,000 number is made up of no-kill shelters, kill shelters, and non-profit specialty organizations like Rescue Rebels Inc of ohio. source https://www.npr.org/2014/12/31/374218425/no-kill-shelters-save-millions-of-unwanted-pets-but-not-all-of-them
Only 10% Of Animals That Enter Shelters Are Neutered Or Spayed. One dog can produce an estimated 67,000 dogs in a 6 year time-span! One cat can produce over 420,000 kittens in 7 years! This is why Spaying and Neutering pets is so important. source https://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsandnature/12-alarming-facts-about-pet-homelessness/
